Delvers & Company
You are one person with one torch. Company is how you stop being that.
Status: Delver kits live · Company partially live
Your delver#
Every account has one delver. They are cosmetic — kit, colour, name — with a single exception: what you are carrying and how far down you have been are recorded against them, and that record is public on the board.
| Kit | Cosmetic. Earned, bought with Tallow, or found in caches. |
| Name | Claimed at the registry, one per wallet, permanent |
| Deepest floor | Recorded automatically. Cannot be reset. |
There are no classes and no stat points. What you can reach is set by your lamp, your provisions and your nerve, and all three of those are things you did rather than things you rolled.
Company#
Company are the hands who come down with you: a lantern-bearer, a ratter, a mason who knows which walls are load-bearing. Mechanically they are a passive slot.
| Tier | How you get one | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Common | Contracts, Tallow | Small passive |
| Uncommon | Caches, contracts | Small passive |
| Rare | Tier IV+ caches | Passive + minor active |
| Epic | Fabrication, events | Passive + active |
| Relic | Relic recipes only | Passive + unique effect |
| Gloam | Gloam seasons only | Passive + unique effect |
Numbers are not published yet
Company passives are still being tuned and the figures move week to week. Rather than print a number here that is wrong by the time you read it, we are leaving this blank until it settles. Passive values — published when they stop moving
One company slot is unlocked from the start. A second unlocks at your first descent past B9.
Going down with other people#
Company is not a substitute for other players, and the systems are built so it never becomes one:
- You can light another delver's torch off yours, at a cost to yours
- You can carry someone who went dark back to the last brazier, and they keep what they were carrying
- Paired contracts from the company board pay both delvers a bonus
Premium company
Some company is bought with $GLOAM. Those are on the same passive scale as earned company of the same tier — they are quicker to get, not stronger. If we ever break that rule, this page will say so.
