Distribution#
There is none to describe. $GLOAM launches fair on Pump.fun, which means:
- No presale
- No team allocation
- No investor allocation
- No whitelist, no allowlist, no early access
Everyone, including the people building the game, buys on the open market at the same time as everyone else.
The only address that is ours
The contract address appears on gogloam.xyz and on this page. Nowhere else. Not in a DM, not in a reply, not from an account using our name and artwork. Verify against these two pages every time, including when you think you already know it.
What it is used for#
$GLOAM is the settlement currency for the parts of the game where players transact with each other or with scarcity:
- Buying and selling at the Wick Market
- Gloam cache keys
- Premium company and cosmetic kits
- Tournament entry
It is not used for: provisions, standard gear, tanks, lamps, cooking, contracts, or anything else in the moment-to-moment loop. Those are all Tallow. See Currencies.
What it is not#
$GLOAM is not a claim on revenue, not a governance right, and not an investment contract. It is the currency the in-game economy settles in. Holding it does not entitle you to anything except the ability to spend it in the places listed above.
Nothing in GLOAM mints new tokens. There is no staking emission, no play-to-earn faucet, and no mechanism by which playing the game increases supply — because supply is fixed and the mint authority does not exist.
Where new tokens for prizes come from
They do not. Prize pools are paid from the treasury, which is filled by the treasury half of in-game spending. Money that goes out was money that came in. See Burn & Reward System.
